Visiting Nurses of Nevada, Inc. is an agency which provides a superior, high tech, comprehensive and coordinated home care program to effectively meet the health care needs of homebound individuals in their place of residence.
Under physician's supervision the following services can be provided in the home on intermittent basis.
SKILLED NURSING
. Treatment and injections
. Dressing changes & wound care
. Catheter care
. Supervision of medications
. Restorative care
. Use of oxygen and respiratory equipment
. Educational programs designed to meet individual health needs.
. Insulin administration and Diabetic teaching
. Bladder and bowel training
. Blood draw and lab work
. IV fluids and antibiotics therapy
. Enteral nutrition
. Parenteral Nutrition
. Pre-op and post-op care
. Ostomy care & teaching
HOME HEALTH AIDE
Provides the following services on intermittent basis under professional supervision
. Assist with personal care
. Assist with meal preparation
. Assist with ambulation
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
. Restoration of specific function loss, range of motion and strength
. Utilization of adaptive equipment and aid rehabilitation
. Teach patient/caregivers in safe use of assistive devices, safe ambulation, transfer falls and injuries
SOCIAL SERVICES
. Deals with social and emotional factors relating to illness
. Assist and educates patient and family with financial and social resources to improve level of care in the home
SPEECH THERAPY
. Assist patient in regaining speech abilities which may have been impaired following illness or accident
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
. Therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living skills to facilitate maximum level function
IV THERAPY
. Provides skilled nurse to administer IV antibiotics, IV fluids and chemotherapy
NUTRITION GUIDANCE
. Assist patient in understanding, accepting and following special diets as prescribed by the physician
DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
Arrangement for these services will be made to meet the
special needs of the patient like commodes, wheelchairs,
hospital beds, crutches, canes, braces and IV.
