Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF) provides multiple therapies, education, counseling, and restorative services for injured and disabled persons in a non-residential facility.
A certified CORF clinic is authorized to offer physician services, physical, occupational, and respiratory therapy; speech-language pathology; prosthetic/orthopedic device services; social and psychological services; nursing care; supplies; equipment; and home environment evaluations.
By promoting collaboration with all specialist involved, the CORF Medical Staff can bring together their collective skills to better rehabilitate patients who have suffered spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, amputation, and strokes with complex rehabilitation.
The Good Shepherd pulmonary rehabilitation program uses the coordinated team approach to help patients achieve their full potential upon discharge and continuing thereafter through a home exercise program and support services.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation provides patients who graduate from the rehab program, a wellness support services call "The Maintenance Program." Through such programs, patients are provided a venue for interacting with other patients and receive further reinforcement and affirmation.
Services are carefully coordinated, planned, monitored, and constantly updated according to the patient's progress and under close guidance of specialized physicians.
SERVICES PROVIDED.
CARDIAC REHABILITATION is designed for each individual patient who has suffered a heart attack, had bypass surgery, and/or is living with stable angina to help maintain a healthier heart. You will learn how to strengthen your heart and reduce your risk for future problems through monitored exercises.
PULMONARY THERAPY services are designed for the comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients with pulmonary diseases, such as emphysema, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and pulmonary fibrosis. Pulmonary Function Testing is also provided.
OCCUPATIONAL THERPAY is offered to educate patients and family members the sills needed to perform and restore the patients' abilities for daily living.
PHYSICAL THERAPY offers the evaluation and treatment of patients with pain, weakness, limitation of movement, difficulty in transfers, and with gait abnormalities through therapeutic exercise, gait training, home programs and other modalities and procedures such as Anodyne Therapy.
SOCIAL WORK services are available for assisting patients and their families with social, emotional, and psychological factors affecting their well-being. COURTESY TRANSPORTATION.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation provides courtesy transportation to patients under special circumstances who do not have access to transportation on the day of the clinical appointment.
